Change in Buffalo News leadership in 2012 got Clinton's attention

It's fun trolling WikiLeaks. After the website posted a bunch of damaging emails related to the Democratic National Convention, we nosed around to see what we could find.

Nothing earth-shattering showed up in relation to Buffalo, but we did find an email unrelated to the DNC from July 2012. Phillipe Reines, a State Department senior adviser to Hillary Clinton, found it worthwhile to inform the secretary of state about former Buffalo News Editor Margaret Sullivan's plans to leave The Buffalo News to take the media ombudsman position with the New York Times. (Sullivan is now a media columnist for the Washington Post.)
