Michael P. Brady, a retired Buffalo police officer, died Friday in Hospice Buffalo, Cheektowaga, after a long illness. He was 75.
Born in Buffalo, Mr. Brady was a graduate of Kensington High School and Erie Community College.
He worked for nearly a decade at the Chevrolet plant on East Delavan Avenue before joining the Buffalo Police Department in 1968, working in Precincts 4, 6, 9 and 12. In 1988, Mr. Brady retired as a patrolman after suffering an injury while on duty.
His wife, Susan Banks, said her husband enjoyed golf and traveling and was supporter of the SPCA Serving Erie County.
Survivors in addition to his wife include four daughters, Cheryl Brady-Kipler, Amy Pedacchio, Michelle Weydt and Suzanne; a brother, Merle P.; and five grandchildren.
