Allen Comstock, a retired minister from United Church of Christ in Shelburne Falls, Mass., and family friend, heard the couple’s vows. The bride’s parents are Karen J. Brooks of Heath, Mass., and Christopher Q. and Vicki Burke, of West Roxbury, Mass. The bridegroom’s parents are Robert S. and Kathleen G. Bates of the Town of Tonawanda. The bride, a graduate of Ethel Walker School, earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and also earned a master’s degree in neuroscience from King’s College in London. The bride is an associate registrar at Boston University. The bridegroom, a graduate of Kenmore West Senior High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Syracuse University and also earned his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He is a director of strategy at Converse in Boston, Mass. The couple makes their home in Boston.
