ARMLOVICH, Irma Irene (Lahti)

ARMLOVICH - Irma Irene (nee Lahti) Of East Aurora NY, died of causes related to stroke on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg, NY. She was 83. She was born on July 27, 1932 in Buffalo, NY to William and Senja Lahti (Hietalahti). She graduated from Lafayette High School in 1947. In 1952 she married Joseph Armlovich, and had four children, David, Bruce (Billie), Joel (Lee) and Peter (Susan). Besides homemaker and mother, Irene had many positions in the communications field. Noteworthy she excelled as an operator for the East Aurora Answering Service until age 79. Irene was very creative and enjoyed writing, painting and collecting rocks from her many adventures. She also nobly donated her body to the UB School of Medicine. Irene will be greatly missed. She is survived by her sons, grandchildren, Levi (Ayse), Julie (Ryan) Carini, Elaina, Johnathon, Jacob, Alexander, Nickoli, and Bryan, great-grandchildren Violet, Rose, and Torrin Carini, and predeceased by her husband. She is also survived by brothers Bill and Peter and sister Helen (Stephenson-Santi),
predeceased by brothers Martin (John), Allen and sister Lillian (Biddlecom). Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Her Life on July 30th at the Moose Lodge in East Aurora, NY (905 Main St.) from 1 to 5 PM.
