Toronto woman pleads guilty to possessing counterfeit bills

A Toronto woman caught with 58 phony $50 bills at the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls has pleaded guilty to possession of counterfeit money before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara, U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr. reports. She faces a maximum of 20 years in prison when she is sentenced Nov. 3.

Prosecutors said Kenishia Simone Brown, 33, a passenger in a vehicle entering the U.S. on Jan. 13, was discovered with a bundle of bogus cash during a secondary inspection by Customs and Border Protection officers when they asked her to take off her jacket and empty her pockets.
