GEICO has named Pionne Corbin vice president of its Buffalo regional office in Getzville, which has grown to 2,686 employees.
Corbin will oversee GEICO operations in seven Northeastern states, a territory covering more than 1.4 million customers. (While she oversees the Buffalo office, GEICO’s office in Woodbury oversees New York state for the company.)
Corbin joined GEICO in 1993 as a management intern in its Fredricksburg, Va., office. She later moved to the Buffalo office, where she most recently was assistant vice president of claims. Her new position took effect June 25.
Corbin graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a bachelor’s degree in economics, and serves on the board of the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County.
