The Nuns on the Bus, a group of Catholic sisters who ride around the country advocating for political and social reforms such as better, more affordable healthcare and less income inequality, will stop in Buffalo on Wednesday, after spending several days in Cleveland for the Republican National Convention.
The nuns will disembark their colorful bus at Cathedral Park outside St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral, 139 Pearl St., at about 11:15 a.m. for a brief program at the “Homeless Jesus” sculpture.
The Rev. Will H. Mebane, interim dean of St. Paul’s, will welcome the group, which is scheduled to depart for Rochester at noon. The nuns also will be in Philadelphia later this month for the Democratic National Convention.
