New York delegates are being housed in posh quarters

Traditionally, New York delegates to national conventions merit major – and posh – hotels when they gather for conventions. Places like Wyoming, meanwhile, are assigned to the aesthetic equivalent of the No Tell Motel on the outskirts of town.

But when the nominee is a New Yorker, it’s even better: State Republicans are housed in the magnificent Renaissance Hotel on Public Square, steeped in history since its construction in 1918.
