NIAGARA FALLS – The Aquarium of Niagara will open its doors until 10 p.m. on Friday for late night at the Aquarium.
The aquarium opens at 9 a.m. and will remain open until 10 p.m. – 13 hours. Visitors are encouraged to come throughout the day and evening for just one daily admission price.
Executive Director Gary Siddall said the special extended evening hours allow the facility to show how exhibits and shows transform after dark.
“We are always looking for creative ways to enhance our visitor experience while presenting all of the new and exciting changes at the aquarium,” Siddall said. “For regular admission prices, you can visit during the day and come back later for an inspiring celebration and late-night thrill.”
Siddall called the aquarium the perfect venue for families, friendly gatherings or even a date night. He said its second-floor deck is also “an excellent vantage point” to enjoy the fireworks over Niagara Falls when the sun goes down.
The evening events begin at 6 p.m. with music by pianist Lynda Williams. There also will be drinks and food available courtesy of Wine on Third.
Programming at the Aquarium of Niagara also will expand to include an extra sea lion show at 7 p.m. and two additional touch tank sessions at 6 and 8 p.m.
Admission on Friday remains the same as regular daily admission. Adults pay $13; children pay $9 and members are admitted for free.
