Woman charged with stealing $100,000 in medical supplies from Batavia hospital

BATAVIA – A Livingston County woman was arrested for second-degree grand larceny after allegedly stealing $100,000 worth of medical supplies and equipment from United Memorial Medical Center, the Batavia Police Department reported Friday.

Police believe Kimberly Diamond, 47, of Leicester, sold many of the items on an online auction site. She had been employed by UMMC for several years.

The theft was discovered by UMMC and reported to police.

Diamond is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on Aug. 9.
