Featured Driver of the Week / Neal Dietz Jr.

Age: 41.

Hometown: Holland.

Division/Home Track: Sportsman/Lancaster Speedway.

Lowdown: Dietz is best known for his many years as one half of the legendary “Neal and Neil Show” at Holland Speedway when Dietz and fellow competitor Neil Hopkins had a big weekly rivalry for supremacy in the NASCAR Pro Modified ranks. Dietz now races Sportsman occasionally at Lancaster as he is busy guiding the Go-Kart careers of his three daughters Jenna, 13; Julia, 10; and Jeana, 8, who all compete at Merrittville, Bliss and Alleghany Mountain.

Career Accomplishments: Dietz is a three-time divisional champion at Holland, having captured a Challenger championship in 1998, and is the owner of back-to-back NASCAR Pro Modified titles in 2002 and 2003.

He is the winner of numerous feature races at Holland and Lancaster. Dietz also raced TQ Midgets both indoors and outdoors. In 2003, Dietz was undefeated in NASCAR Pro Modified heat races at Holland, scoring 15 consecutive heat victories. He also amassed an impressive nine feature race wins at Holland that same year.

Favorite Food: Tacos, Pizza.

Favorite Music: Country music, especially Montgomery Gentry.

Hobbies other than racing: Dietz recently has taken up golf as another interest.
