Anthony L. Lunetta, of Cheektowaga, a retired restaurant owner, died Sunday in Erie County Medical Center after a short illness. He was 83.
Born in Warren, Pa., he came to Buffalo with his family as a child and was a graduate of Kensington High School. He served from 1953 to 1955 in the Army in Korea.
Mr. Lunetta owned and operated Lunetta’s Restaurant, a business he and his parents started in 1962 on Hertel Avenue. A member of the North Buffalo Business Association, he retired in 2011. The business continues to be operated on Cleveland Drive in Cheektowaga by his son, Anthony C.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, the former Marcia Powell; three daughters, Caren, Kathy and Susan; two sons, Robert and Anthony C.; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 4125 Union Road at Genesee Street, Cheektowaga.
