NIAGARA FALLS – A long-awaited hotel project in downtown Niagara Falls will get a ceremonial kickoff on Tuesday morning.
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo will attend a groundbreaking at 9:30 a.m. for the $35 million, 128-room Hyatt Place hotel at 310 Rainbow Blvd.
The Hamister Group became the designated developer for the hotel project in 2012.
After political strife, design changes and delays in obtaining funding, the project appears ready to move ahead.
The governor’s office announced June 1 that the Hamister Group has finally secured funding for the project.
