Children’s Concert Series kicks off Tuesday in Kenmore

The Franco’s Pizza Children’s Concert Series kicks off at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday with swing jazz from The Hot Club of Buffalo on the lawn at Kenmore Middle School on Delaware Road.

Off-street parking is available across the street at Kenmore United Methodist Church. Dinner, beverages and desert will be available for sale. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. The first 200 children will receive a free gift. The rain location is Kenmore Community Center, 135 Wilber Ave.

The free concerts presented by Kenmore Village Improvement Society continue every Tuesday through Aug. 2.

This week in the Town of Tonawanda:

• The Town Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Ave. A work session begins at 4:30 in the second-floor conference room.

• The town’s 2016 summer concert series continues with Carnival Kids Steel Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lincoln Arena, 1200 Parker Blvd.

• The Kenmore Farmer’s Market is every Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. through October 29 on the Municipal Green at the corner of Delaware Avenue and Delaware Road.
