The last time Sammy Watkins made noise on Instagram, it wasn't very well-received by fans. Folks will probably like the Buffalo Bills wide receiver's post on Friday a tad more.
Watkins, who had foot surgery this off-season as first reported by The News, posted a video of himself sprinting with the words "back," "on," "top" and "soon." He looks healthy in the short video, taking off at top gear. His timetable for a return has been murky all along with the team staying vague publicly and Watkins first telling TSN he "might sit out two or three days," then expressing optimism to ESPN that he'll be able to practice while admitting the Bills may not allow him to return to the field until the regular season.
As many receivers past would attest, foot injuries can strike again if proper rest isn't given.
Now, we know the former fourth overall pick is running. In three weeks, at camp, we'll find out more.
Last season, Watkins caught 60 passes for 1,047 yards and nine touchdowns.
