BARGAIN HUNT – The third annual Gigantic Kenmore Garage Sale, featuring bargains from upward of 100 garages and lawns throughout the village, will take place 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.

Printed maps will be available at the Village Green at Delaware Avenue and Delaware Road or online at villageofkenmore.com. Clues for a treasure hunt will be listed on the maps. A video booth will be available at the Village Green for shoppers to boast about what they found. Everyone who records a message will get a prize. And unwanted or leftover items can be brought to a Goodwill truck at the Village Green 3-4:45 p.m.

THAT CLEAN FEELING – Salem Lutheran Church, 10 McClellan Circle, at Whitfield Avenue and McKinley Parkway in South Buffalo, will hold a car wash 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. Price is a freewill donation. Proceeds will help send members of the church’s youth group to a national convention.

FUN TIME – Trinity Baptist Church, 2980 Bailey Ave., will hold a Community Fun Day and Health Awareness Fair 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Attractions will include a bounce house, games, face painting, free refreshments and giveaways. All are welcome. For more info, call 835-5955.

FESTIVE OCCASION – The Summer Festival at Immaculate Conception Parish, 8791 S. Main St. (Route 62), Eden, offers two days of food and music this weekend. It starts with a Polish Folk Mass 4 p.m. Saturday, followed by a pork chop dinner at 4:30 and music by the Dave Gawronski Band from 5 to 8 p.m. On Sunday, there will be a chicken barbecue at noon, with music from 2 to 5 p.m. by Norm Kaminski, the One Man Band. There also will be auctions, booths, refreshments and a grand prize raffle.

WEEKEND EATS – North Park Lutheran Church, 310 Starin Ave., will hold a Krolick’s barbecue and yard sale 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Dinners – chicken for $10 and ribs for $13, including three sides – will be ready 11 a.m.

Trinity Episcopal Church, 261 E. Main St., Hamburg, will host a Chiavetta’s chicken barbecue 1-5 p.m. Saturday. Dinners are $10. Take-out is available. For tickets, call 649-4320.

BIG WHEELS – Touch a Truck, a family event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Williamsville Train Depot Museum, 86 S. Long St., will give kids a chance to sit in fire trucks, police cars, military transports, cement trucks and large cranes and even honk the horn. Admission is $7 and includes a hot dog, chips, a beverage and ice cream.

SUMMER SERENADES – Assemblyman Robin Schimminger will sponsor a free concert by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra 7 p.m. Sunday in Niawanda Park in the City of Tonawanda. The program, conducted by Stefan Sanders, will celebrate the Summer Olympics, the 50th anniversary of “Star Trek” and the “Batman” TV shows and the 40th anniversary of “Rocky.” The concert is made possible by a grant obtained by Schimminger. SIX-LEGGED FRIENDS – Every bug will have its day at the sixth annual Insectival! 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Tifft Nature Preserve, 1200 Fuhrmann Blvd. There will be insects to meet, insects to eat and insects to catch on land and water, as well as insect-themed crafts for children, specimen collections from the Buffalo Museum of Science, storytelling, games and face painting.
