Gasport man facing drug charge after traffic stop

LEWISTON – A Gasport man was charged with cocaine possession and driving with a suspended license after being stopped by State Police on Route 31 about 10 a.m. Thursday.

Terry Hutchinson, 42, was driving with a suspended car registration and his driving privilegesd also were suspended, police said. A plastic bag containing cocaine was found in the car, police added.

Hutchinson was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating with a suspended registration and operating without insurance. Arraigned in Lewiston Town Court, he was remanded to the Niagara County Jail, Lockport, in lieu of bail.
