Meet Sabres prospect Jean Dupuy

Current Team: Rochester Americans

Position: Center/Left Wing

Age: 21

Height: 6-foot-2

Weight: 205 lbs.

Stats: Eight goals and 21 points in 74 AHL games

Drafted: Undrafted (Signed as Free Agent)

Resume: After finding his offense in Sault St. Marie, the hard-nosed forward continued to try and show there's more to his game than just hitting and fighting in his first season in the AHL. He developed into one of the Sabres best forward prospects stashed in Rochester.

"The way that I positioned myself and thought the game put me in better positions and let me hold onto the puck a bit more." Dupuy said.

How would you describe your game?

"I consider myself a power forward. I use my speed, my size to make sure I get in the corner first. I create some room out there for the more skilled players."

What player do you model your game after?

"I'd say probably Paul Gaustad. He's a big presence on the ice."

What is your greatest hockey accomplishment?

"So far, it would definitely be signing my contract with Buffalo. Nothing really beats that."

What are your goals for this season?

"To keep growing in the off season, keep putting on some mass. Going into camp my goal is to make the Buffalo Sabres."

Why do you wear No. 39?

"It was given to me when I went to the Sault. I used to wear 27. It was given to me in Kingston, too. The trainers gave it to me. ... I did well with it."

What’s something you like to do off the ice?

"Video games. I play Madden. Me and my two friends have a franchise mode going so it gets pretty heated."
