Derby man with prior DWI faces drunken driving charge

HANOVER – A Derby man with a previous drunken driving conviction faces a new driving while intoxicated charge in Chautauqua County.

Karl A. Trembath, 28, was pulled over for an alleged traffic infraction on Routes 5 and 20 at about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said.

Trembath was charged with DWI, as well as felony DWI for having a previous conviction for drunken driving within the last 10 years, the sheriff’s office said.

He was also ticketed for having an inadequate muffler.
