HARMONY – A Kennedy man was charged with felony DWI after Chautauqua County sheriffs deputies stopped his vehicle for weaving across the lane Sunday morning.
Deputies made the stop about 5:40 a.m. on Route 474/Baker Street Extension after seeing numerous lane violations.
The driver, William R. Swanson, 61, of Poland Center Road, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, since he had been convicted of a prior DWI within the last 10 years. He also was charged with having a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher, failure to keep right and failure to maintain the lane.
He was released and is to answer charges in Harmony Town Court.
