East Aurora theater tradition continues: free summer movie mornings for kids

The Aurora Theatre at 673 Main St. continues its free summer movie series at 11 a.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays continues next week with “Shrek.” “Kung Fu Panda 2” plays July 13 and 16. “How to Train Your Dragon,” on July 20 and 23, “Paddington” on July 27 and 30; “The Lorax” August 3 and 6 and “Night at the Museum,” August 10 and 13.

• The East Aurora Village Board meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Village Hall, 571 Main Street.

• The East Aurora Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Village Hall.

• The Roycroft Film Society will show “Phoenix,” about a nightclub singer in post World War II Germany, at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 10 at Parkdale School Auditorium, 141 Girard Avenue.

• The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will play a free concert of Americana music, including at special tribute in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Batman TV show, at 7 p.m. Friday at Knox Farm State Park.
