One victim of E. Side gunfire improves; boy who turned 12 Friday remains in critical condition

The condition of a man critically injured by gunfire Wednesday night on Buffalo’s far East Side was upgraded to stable condition Saturday.

Detavion Magee, 20, has been hospitalized in Erie County Medical Center since the shooting on Humason Avenue. Buffalo police believe Magee was the target of the shooting.

Meanwhile, 12-year-old Juan “Macho” Rodriguez, who was shot while attempting to usher his brothers and sisters indoors and out of danger of the gunfire, remains in critical condition in ECMC’s intensive care unit, hospital officials said.
