Sailboat rescued by Coast Guard after striking rocks in Erie Basin Marina
A two-man recreational sailboat crashed into rocks near William K’s restaurant, the former Hatch, in the Erie Basin Marina about 5:10 p.m. Friday.
Neither man was injured. The boat was towed into the harbor by a U. S. Coast Guard crew and water was bailed from it.
A spokesman for the Coast Guard said a rescue vessel was quickly sent out to the boat from the nearby command center.
