Falls man charged with planning to deal Fentanyl, cocaine

LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man who allegedly had nearly an ounce of Fentanyl and a quarter ounce of cocaine when police raided his home March 23 pleaded not guilty Friday in Niagara County Court.

Donald R. Patterson III, 36, of 22nd Street, is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, as well as four lesser possession charges and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.

Assistant District Attorney Laura T. Bittner said the last charge was lodged because Patterson allegedly slammed the door on police and ran to the bathroom, where he was caught with the Fentanyl in his pocket. Police also seized alleged clonazepam, oxymorphone and marijuana, Bittner said.
