Erie County Sheriff’s deputies on Monday charged a Buffalo man with boating while intoxicated in the Niagara River.
Sheriff’s deputies in the Marine Unit approached Andrew Bodack’s boat just before 10 p.m. because it didn’t have proper navigational lights. Bodack, 49, was found to be intoxicated, the sheriff’s office said.
He was ticketed for boating while intoxicated, unlawful possession of marijuana and vessel equipment violations. He’s due in Buffalo City Court in June.
This was the first arrest for BWI this boating season, the sheriff’s office said.
