MAUK, JUSTIN JAMES

MAUK - Justin James Entered into rest on Thursday, May 19th. He was 30 years old. A native of Newfane, Justin's passions were writing, philosophy, music, and his new love for Ariadne Sophia, his seven week old baby girl. Justin could never decline a good debate, and his days of activism and poetry readings at his favorite coffee shop will forever be remembered. Justin graduated Cum Laude from Buffalo State College where he studied English and Philosophy, and was pursuing his Masters degree from Stony Brook University. He was a Dean's List student and member of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society. Survivors include his wife, Ashley Leonard-Mauk; daughter, Ariadne Mauk; parents, Yvonne and Jeffrey Mauk; sister, Cassandra Mauk; grandparents, Elizabeth Cheasty, Gary and Cathy Finley, Frances and Ronald Mauk; uncle, Robert Finley; and cousins, Ava and Bryce Finley. A memorial service will be held at RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on Saturday, June 4th, at 2:30pm, followed by a celebration of Justin's beautiful life from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Wrights Corners Firehall.
