EDDY, Lee Oden

EDDY - Lee Oden Died Monday, May 9, 2016. Her two beloved sons were at her side. In the fall of 1968, Dan, Lee and family moved to Kenmore, NY. Dan was minister of Nativity UCC Church and Lee taught in the Kenmore Public School System. For 15 years she taught
English and reading. Lee and Dan
established a life and family committed to social justice and fairness. She would remain committed to those causes throughout her life. She met Bill Bennett in the choir of the UU church in Buffalo. They quickly became inseparable and known simply as "Lee and Bill." She and Bill lived retirement to the fullest. They travelled the world, entertained friends, volunteered, and stayed active in the UU church. All the while Lee showered her love and generosity on those she loved. Lee can only be described as a generous, kind, intelligent, humorous woman who was simply a pleasure to behold. Her love was boundless and returned equally. She will be greatly missed as an exceptional mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend to countless persons fortunate to have met her. Those who love her will always remember her pride in the diversity of the family she raised, her never ending love for Daniel Eddy, her absolute devotion and unbounded love for Bill Bennett, her generosity of spirit, time, and love for the family she cherished so dearly. Lee is survived by son Rand, son Rust; grandsons Jess and Cole; son-in-law Bill and his wife Itsuyo, their children Mia and Kio; son-in-law Francois and his sons Tai, Liam, and Alexandre; daughters-in-law and in-love Sheryl and Kindy. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Dean McGee Eye Institute. If you've ever wondered what an angel is like see a hospice nurse.
