Eva Coleman Williford, active member of Macedonia Baptist Church

Aug. 20, 1939 – May 17, 2016

Eva Coleman Williford of Buffalo, a longtime member of Macedonia Baptist Church, died Tuesday in Hospice Buffalo, Cheektowaga. She was 76.

Born in Johns, Ala., Mrs. Williford attended Adger Elementary School and graduated from Westfield High School.

After graduation, she moved to Buffalo.

Mrs. Williford held a variety of jobs and retired in the 1980s from United Way of Western New York.

A member of Macedonia Baptist Church more than 50 years, she was active in auxiliaries, was a member of the trustee board and sang in the Gospel chorus.

Mrs. Williford also was president of Women’s Empowerment.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Leroy Jr.; two sons, Zachary and Myron; and one brother, Otis L. Coleman.

The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. Monday in Macedonia Baptist Church, 237 E. North St., followed by a funeral at noon.
