Presidential candidate Donald J. Trump can count at least on Western New York’s votes at the Republican National Convention following the appointment of several local delegates pledged to the Manhattan billionaire.
Erie County Republican Chairman Nicholas A. Langworthy said he will arrive in Cleveland as a Trump delegate on July 18, as will Carl P. Paladino, Trump’s honorary state chairman; and former Niagara County Republican Chairman Henry F. Wojtaszek. They will represent the 26th Congressional District.
The 27th Congressional District will be represented by Orleans County Republican Chairman Edward Morgan, Erie County Republican Elections Commissioner Ralph M. Mohr, and East Aurora Assemblyman David J. DiPietro.
Western New Yorkers serving as alternate at-large delegates to the convention include Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard and former Erie County Legislator Brian D. Rusk.
