BROWN, Jean E.

BROWN - Jean E. Age 79, of the Town of Tonawanda, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born in Merthyr Tydfil, Glam, South Wales, Great Britain. Her family moved to the United States when she was 12 years old. Jean graduated from South Park High School. She retired from the U.S. Energy Development Corporation as a Legal Assistant. Jean sang with the Buffalo Opera Unlimited under the direction of Tim Kennedy for many years. Jean also sang with the Orchard Park Women's Chorale and was a member of St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, since 1964. She avidly sang in their choir. She also served on St. Bartholomew's Alter Guild and was a member of the Bishop Scaife Guild. Jean is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Gary) Warren and her son, Scott (Anne-Marie) Brown; six grandchildren, Sara, Robert, and Molly Jean Warren, Christina, Stephanie, and Anthony Brown; her brother, David (Cheryl) Evans; also survived by nieces, nephews, and many cousins locally and abroad. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Monday from 6-8 PM and Tuesday from 1-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the LESTER H. WEDEKINDT FUNERAL HOME, 3290 Delaware Ave., Kenmore. A Service of Celebration for the Life and Blessings of Jean Brown will be held on Wednesday 10:30 AM at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, Eggert Rd.
