Town of Niagara police probe school bus attack on 13-year-old boy

TOWN OF NIAGARA – A 13-year-old boy with cerebral palsy suffered a pair of suspected broken fingers Thursday afternoon when he was assaulted by another boy on a school bus, town police reported.

The boys were returning home from school about 3 p.m. when the victim, a Tuscarora Road resident, pulled on a string hanging from the backpack of the attacker, who bent the victim’s fingers backward, police said. Both fingers were discolored and swollen before the victim was seen by doctors, police added.

An investigation is continuing.
