LOCKPORT – A Buffalo man was arrested on drug and drunken driving charges after Lockport police investigated a fight outside a bar about 3 a.m. Saturday.
Timothy J. Cobb, 32, of Lemon Street, was charged with two felony drug possession counts, marijuana possession, driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation.
Police said he was standing outside a vehicle whose motor was running in a parking lot near the Niagara Hotel, Niagara and Transit streets, and officers saw him get into the driver’s seat. They also noticed blood on the front bumper, grille and right headlight of his auto. Cobb said that resulted from a fight in front of the bar.
Police said they smelled alcohol on Cobb’s breath and discovered his license was suspended because of six unpaid traffic tickets. Searching his car, they found a modified pop can whose top screwed off. Inside the can, they found several bags of alleged crack cocaine and a bag of marijuana.
