Niagara Falls man charged with driving while impaired by marijuana

TOWN OF NIAGARA – State Police charged a Niagara Falls man Thursday night with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Joshua Salvo, 21, was pulled over on the Niagara Thruway after he was seen operating his vehicle erratically, State Police said.

A trooper smelled the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle and Salvo was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

A State Police drug recognition expert at the Niagara barracks determined Salvo’s ability to drive was impaired by drugs. He was issued tickets for DWAI-drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana for a future appearance in Town of Niagara Court.
