Driver throws trash out window, then charged with aggravated DWI

State Police this week charged a Colden woman with driving with a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit.

A state trooper on Tuesday pulled over Julianne P. Wells, 31, on Route 240 in Colden when she threw some garbage out the window of her 2009 Chevrolet Silverado.

Wells failed field sobriety tests and registered a blood-alcohol content of .18 percent, more than double the legal limit of .08 percent, at the agency’s Boston barracks.

Wells, who faces an aggravated driving while intoxicated charge, is due in Boston Town Court on Wednesday.
