NORTH TONAWANDA – Lottie and Bernice will return to the Starry Night Theatre in a world-premiere comedy by local playwright L. Don Swartz on Thursday through May 22 in the Ghostlight Theatre, 170 Scheneck St.
“Lottie and Bernice in Livin’ Large,” is the sixth play to feature the two grumpy old ladies played by JoAnn V. Mis as Lottie and Debby Koszelak Swartz as Bernice. Since making their debut on the Ghostlight Theatre stage in 2001, plays featuring Lottie and Bernice have been performed by theaters in 26 states.
“Livin’ Large” shows a typical week in the life of Lottie and Bernice and includes the characters hitchhiking, foiling a bank robbery, getting caught in a flash mob, being put on trial and attending anger management classes, among other their other activities.
Shows are at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, 8 p.m. Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $14 general admission and $12 for veterans, seniors and students. Tickets can be reserved online at www.starrynighttheatre.com or by calling the theater office at 743-1614.
