The Clarence School Board will hold a public hearing on its proposed 2016-17 school budget at 7 p.m. Monday in the Lecture Hall at Clarence High School, 9625 Main St.
The $78,113,100 plan represents a spending increase of 3.6 percent over the current year and carries an estimated tax rate of $14.62 per $1,000 assessed valuation. The current budget totals $75,392,337.
The annual budget vote and School Board election will take place May 17 in the high school gymnasium.

• The Town Zoning Board of Appeals has just two items on its agenda for its meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Town Hall, One Town Place off Goodrich Road.
Dr. Paul Giordano is requesting a variance to allow construction of a single-family home on land zoned for an industrial business park at 8745 Roll Road and Bryan Schaefer is seeking a variance for a parking area to serve an addition to a building for WMS Sales, a manufacturer’s representative for plumbing and heating supplies at 9580 County Road near Goodrich Road.
• The Town Ethics Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Town Hall.
• The Town Board will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Town Hall following a work session at 6 p.m. A public hearing will be held at 7:15 p.m. on a special exception use permit for an addition to the former Belknap Heating building for a new Dunn Tire store at 6585 Transit Road north of Miles Road.
• Erica Billoni of Colvin Cleaners will give a presentation on “green” dry cleaning at the next Clarence Chamber of Commerce AM Networking session at 8 a.m. Wednesday in Clarence Pizza Company, 6235 Goodrich Road, Clarence Center. All are welcome.
