Martin Cooks to close in Horsefeathers

Martin Danilowicz's restaurant Martin Cooks will have its last day of restaurant service on May 28.

"May 28th, 2016 will be Martin Cooks last day of service," the restaurant posted to its Facebook page. "However, please join us for Brunch on May 28th, followed by a last hurrah party until 6pm!"

The popular restaurant opened in the Horsefeathers building, 346 Connecticut St., in 2013.

The post said the restaurant "will reopen soon in a new location, soon to be announced." Martin Cooks gift certificates will be honored at the new location, it said.

Architect and landlord Steve Carmina of Carmina Wood Morris told a Buffalo Place meeting last week that Danilowicz would be operating a new restaurant at 5-7 Genesee St. That would put it near the Hyatt, between Raclettes and Oshun.
