The Orleans County Sheriff’s Department has announced the arrest of a Batavia man who faces multiple charges related to the alleged sexual abuse and rape of a five-year-old child.
Nicholas L. McKague, 24, of West Main Street Road is charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. following a two month investigation conducted by the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office. The incident allegedly happened in the Town of Clarendon in 2011. A report of his April 18 arrest was announced by the sheriff’s department on Wednesday. He was arraigned in the Town of Clarendon Court and held in Orleans County Jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond. A return court date is set for Monday.
