A Fredonia woman who had a 2-year-old in her vehicle faces aggravated driving while intoxicated charges after her car rolled over Tuesday morning in Brant.
The one-vehicle crash on Erie Road happened just after 6:30 a.m., the Erie County Sheriff’s Office said.
Alyssa Bishop, 30, drove off the road and into a ditch, which caused her vehicle to flip. The vehicle struck a mailbox before coming to a stop on its hood in the ditch, the sheriff’s office said.
The 2-year-old child was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries and then transported to Women & Children’s Hospital for additional evaluation and treatment. Bishop was treated at the scene and taken to Erie County Medical Center.
Investigators determined Bishop was impaired by drugs and she was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a passenger younger than 16.
Bishop was released with appearance tickets for Brant Town Court.
