Troopers: Dunkirk driver had BAC three times legal limit

DUNKIRK – State Police charged a man Sunday with driving with a blood-alcohol content three times the legal limit.

Dalaute Buchanan of Dunkirk faces an aggravated driving while intoxicated charge after he was pulled over on Bennett Road, State Police said.

After Buchanan, 39, failed several field sobriety tests, he was taken to the Fredonia barracks where he provided a breath sample showing a BAC of .24 percent, triple the legal limit of .08 percent.

Buchanan is due in Dunkirk Town Court later this month.
