'Ladies Man' Tim Meadows returns to Buffalo

Tim Meadows, one of the longest tenured players in “Saturday Night Live” history, returns to Buffalo to perform five shows at Helium Comedy Club7.

The comedian appeared on “Saturday Night Live” for adecade, most notably creating the character of the Ladies Man Leon Phelps, a persona Meadows took to the big screen in 2000. But these days, Meadows is probably known as a familiar face who appears in dozens of comedy films and television shows, including “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story,” “Semi-Pro,” “Grown Ups,” “30 Rock,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “The Office.” His next starring role will be in Andy Samberg’s summer comedy, “Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping,” which is set for release in June.

“I’ve never seen myself as this successful guy who has like totally made it or anything,” Meadows told the News last year about his many roles. “I’m just like a working actor and comedian. People respect my work. I feel like I’m in a pretty decent place.”
