LOCKPORT – A convicted child molester from North Tonawanda may go to prison for as long as 11 years after admitting a probation violation and agreeing to plead guilty to another felony.
Monday in Niagara County Court, Jordan L. Hoefert, 19, of Payne Avenue, admitted violating probation on his first-degree sexual abuse conviction for molesting a 9-year-old girl in May 2013.
The violation stemmed from Hoefert’s obtaining a smartphone without the permission of his probation officer and using it to access pornography, as well as creating numerous email and social media accounts without reporting them. The latter failure to register is a felony to which Hoefert will plead guilty at a later date, Assistant District Attorney Cheryl L. Nichols said. Judge Matthew J. Murphy III scheduled sentencing for July 11.
