An argument turned violent Saturday night, leading a victim to be stabbed in the shoulder.
The argument started just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Warwick Avenue.
The victim was reportedly stabbed in the shoulder by a knife and suffered a puncture wound. The victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.
The suspect, Contrelle Hornsby, 23, of the Warwick address fled the scene before police arrived. A Buffalo police officer who gave chase was also injured and received stitches for a leg injury at Erie County Medical Center.
Hornsby was located hiding on a fence line between trees. He was charged with assault on an officer, felony second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree criminal obstruction.
