Town of Niagara movie theater targeted by polite robber

TOWN OF NIAGARA – A robber with good manners stole $380 from the Four Seasons Cinema late Friday or early Saturday, according to town police.

The bandit, described as about 6 feet tall and wearing a mask with one eyehole, dressed all in black with a hoodie and Carhartt jacket, sneakers and gloves, walked into the theater at 2429 Military Road, near the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls USA, through the front door, Town of Niagara Police Chief H. James Suitor said. The robber went up to the clerk and asked for money. No weapon was displayed.

The clerk went to get the manager and told him, “I think we’re getting robbed,” Suitor said. The manager came out and the clerk gave the robber about $380.

The robber left, but not before saying, “Thank-you,” the employees told police.

A K-9 team was able to follow a scent a short distance before losing it, Suitor said.
