I’d rather have weeds than chemicals on lawn
The former Westwood Country Club chemical contamination should alarm every homeowner who pays a “lawn care” company to spread chemicals on the lawn. An advertisement for one of these companies claims it’s “the official lawn care provider of the PGA of America.” It further says that 153 of my neighbors use its services. Judging by the number of little yellow warning flags popping up, I have no doubt that’s true. What’s most distressing is the fact that many of these homes have children and/or dogs.
Ask yourself what is more likely to harm your family: playing on a lawn full of dangerous pesticides and herbicides or romping among the dandelions?
