CAPRARO, John Vincent

CAPRARO - John Vincent Formerly of Buffalo, passed away on April 8, 2016 at the age of 84. He served in the Army in the Korean War and later moved to Concord, CA. In the 1960's, his love of racing cars brought him racing cars in Monterey and Sears Point. He was past President of the Colombo Club in Oakland, an Italian American Club. Ace Cycle Accessories, a business he owned for 20 years, always had a welcoming pot of coffee on for his customers and friends. The Christmas tree was up all year round, where his customers would bring items and put them on his tree. In the 1980's, John was involved in community activities and belonged to the Concord Crime Prevention Committee. John was asked to run for City Council by the Concord Police Department. He was also a Director of the Mt. Diablo Hospital. John enjoyed his yearly visits to his hometown in Buffalo, where he visited his family and friends. A visit to Ted's Hot Dog Stand was also a must stop and thoroughly enjoyed. He was the son of the late Mary Capraro; beloved brother of Connie (late Joseph) Parisi, Josephine (Charles) Avino, Rosalie (Donald) Bishop, Lucille Di Salvo, the late Mary (late Paul) Oshirak, late Vincent (Irene) Capraro and the late Grace Howland; uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed and remembered with love by all his family and friends.
