Amherst man charged with shooting up North Tonawanda bar

LOCKPORT – An Amherst man who allegedly fired several gunshots at a North Tonawanda bar in a drive-by shooting pleaded not guilty Friday in State Supreme Court.

Daniel C. Cain, 52, of Robin Road, is charged with first-degree reckless endangerment. Deputy District Attorney Doreen M. Hoffmann said Cain had been ejected from the Clover Club on Oliver Street on Nov. 16, and later drove past and allegedly fired several .22-caliber bullets at the building. No one was hurt.

Cain was released on his own recognizance by Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr., on the condition that he stay away from the Clover Club.
