Angola woman charged with driving with BAC more than three times legal limit

An Angola woman registered a blood-alcohol content more than three times the legal limit in a recent traffic stop on the Niagara Thruway, State Police said.

Authorities charged Kathleen M. Schmeh, 42, with aggravated driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday on the Niagara Thruway.

Schmeh had a blood-alcohol level of 0.25 percent, more than three times the legal limit of .08 percent, State Police said. She was also charged with multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

She’s due in Buffalo City Court on Wednesday.
