Grand Island man avoids jail in Falls DWI

LOCKPORT – A Grand Island man avoided a jail term Wednesday in connection with his guilty plea to a driving while intoxicated charge lodged Nov. 7, 2014 in Niagara Falls.

David B. Giddings, 57, of Whitehaven Road, was placed on three years’ probation and fined $1,000 by State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. This is the fourth alcohol-related conviction for Giddings, who refused the breath test after a confrontation with two women over a near-accident in the Falls.
