The Eiffel Tower. The Empire State Building. And now the Peace Bridge.
In a tribute to the late artist Prince, whose death Thursday has sparked memorials of all varieties around the world, from messages on social media to mass sing-alongs of “Purple Rain,” the Peace Bridge will be lit up in Prince’s trademark color, purple, Friday night.
“The Peace Bridge is proud to illuminate in remembrance of Prince and on behalf of Canada and the United States,” said Peace Bridge Authority board chairman Sam Hoyt. “We join many landmarks throughout the world in paying tribute to an artist known for his extensive and legendary musical career.”
The light shows begin at dusk and continue until 1 a.m.
